Welcome to ArtsConnect, the Black Arts District’s revamped volunteer program where passion meets purpose in support of the arts! ArtsConnect Volunteers are vital in helping us achieve our mission and positively impact our thriving artistic community.

Join ArtsConnect in our diverse volunteer opportunities tailored to match your interests, skills, and availability. ArtsConnect Volunteers can choose from the following roles:

Event Support: Assist in organizing and executing our various events, including exhibitions, performances, workshops, and fundraisers. Tasks may include setup, registration, ushering, hospitality, and cleanup.

Marketing and Promotion: Support our marketing efforts by spreading the word about our events and programs through social media, distributing flyers, writing blog posts, or assisting with graphic design.

Administration: Provide administrative support by helping with data entry, filing, answering phones, and other office tasks that keep our organization running smoothly.

Community Outreach: Engage with the community by representing the Black Arts District at local festivals, fairs, and community gatherings.

Joining ArtsConnect is easy! Simply follow these steps:

  1. Complete an Application: Fill out our online volunteer application form, indicating your interests, skills, and availability.

  2. Orientation and Training: Attend a volunteer orientation session to learn more about our organization, mission, and available opportunities. Training will be provided for specific roles as needed.

  3. Start Volunteering: Once you've completed orientation and any required training, you'll be ready to start volunteering and making a difference!
